Cherry Golf Club Job Opportunities
Oversees all daily operations of Fort Cherry Golf Club, including the pro shop, food and beverage, grounds, and events. Manages staff scheduling and hiring, budgets, vendor relationships, league and outing coordination, and the overall member and guest experience.
Runs the pro shop and serves as the first point of contact for staff and golfers. Handles tee sheet management, merchandise ordering and inventory, cash handling and end-of-day reports, and supervises pro shop and outside staff.
Greets golfers, checks them in, and processes greens fees, cart fees, and merchandise sales. Answers phones, books tee times, and helps keep the shop clean and stocked.
Gets golfers off the first tee on time and keeps pace of play moving. Stages, cleans, charges, and stores carts, loads bags, and helps with the driving range and course setup as needed.
Keeps the driving range stocked and maintained. Picks, cleans, and refills range balls, maintains mats and tee areas, and assists outside services staff when needed.
Operates the halfway house between the front and back nine, serving quick food, snacks, and drinks to golfers. Handles cash and card transactions, keeps the area stocked and clean, and follows food safety guidelines.
Serves beer, wine, and mixed drinks to golfers, league players, and event guests. Checks IDs, handles payments, keeps the bar clean and stocked, and follows responsible alcohol service rules.
Prepares food for the grill, halfway house, and events following set recipes and food safety standards. Handles prep work, keeps the kitchen clean, and assists with inventory.
Plans and runs outings, private events, and banquets from booking through cleanup. Works with clients on menus and setup, coordinates kitchen and bar staff, and makes sure events run smoothly.
Maintains the course, including mowing, raking bunkers, changing cups, trimming, and general upkeep. Operates turf equipment safely and works early mornings and weather-dependent hours.
Keeps the clubhouse, restrooms, pro shop, and event spaces clean and presentable. Handles trash removal, restocking supplies, and post-event cleanup.
